About Dr. Inna Magner

After earning my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in Europe in 2002, I moved to the US and obtained my US Veterinary license in 2005 from Purdue University. I did a small animal internship with Sacramento Animal Medical Group until 2006, at which point I started as a general practitioner with a focus on internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, geriatric care, preventative care and pain management.
While searching for a non-invasive and alternative method for spinal pain, I became acquainted with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This opened me to the possibilities of using TCM and alternative modalities for my veterinary patients. I now use a holistic approach to animal healthcare by integrating Eastern and Western traditional methods. My methods include the use of acupressure, acupuncture, food therapy and herbs to support the health and vitality of my patients.

Subsequent to qualifying as a veterinary acupuncturist in 2015 via the Chi institute in Florida, I started Inna Veterinary Acupuncture, which provides house call and mobile veterinary services for dogs and cats in the Bay Area.

In 2018, I completed the food therapy course while continuing my pursuit of herbal medicine and other traditional approaches to animal health care. In March of 2019, I received my CVTP certification in Veterinary Tui Na from the Chi institute in Florida, which offers acupressure techniques that I can teach clients so they can apply the methods at home.

Aside from having a busy mobile practice, I periodically volunteer with Vet SOS Veterinary Street Outreach Services and Muttville Senior Dog Rescue. On the weekends, I enjoy doing beach clean-ups with my kids. In my free time, I like to explore the beautiful Bay Area outdoors with my family. My fur babies are two rescue cats named Shmill and Blueberry and a super energetic rescue dog named Amber.
