About Dr. Inna Magner

After earning my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in Europe in 2002, I moved to the US and obtained my US Veterinary license in 2005 from Purdue University. I did a small animal internship with Sacramento Animal Medical Group until 2006, at which point I started as a general practitioner with a focus on internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, geriatric care, preventative care and pain management.

While searching for a non-invasive and alternative method for spinal pain, I became acquainted with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This opened me to the possibilities of using TCM and alternative modalities for my veterinary patients. I now use a holistic approach to animal healthcare by integrating Eastern and Western traditional methods. My methods include the use of acupressure, acupuncture, food therapy and herbs to support the health and vitality of my patients.
Subsequent to qualifying as a veterinary acupuncturist in 2015 via the Chi institute in Florida, I started Inna Veterinary Acupuncture, which provides house call and mobile veterinary services for dogs and cats in the Bay Area.

In 2018, I completed the food therapy course while continuing my pursuit of herbal medicine and other traditional approaches to animal health care. In March of 2019, I received my CVTP certification in Veterinary Tui Na from the Chi institute in Florida, which offers acupressure techniques that I can teach clients so they can apply the methods at home.

Aside from having a busy mobile practice, I periodically volunteer with Vet SOS Veterinary Street Outreach Services and Muttville Senior Dog Rescue. On the weekends, I enjoy doing beach clean-ups with my kids. In my free time, I like to explore the beautiful Bay Area outdoors with my family. My fur babies are two rescue cats named Shmill and Blueberry and a super energetic rescue dog named Amber.

Meet Autumn Sargent, Veterinary Assistant

I have had a passion for caring for animals since I was a little girl. I started out taking care of small animals and eventually worked my way up to cats, dogs, and even horses. Currently, I am studying to become a Registered Veterinary Technician, but I have been working with animals professionally since I was 17. Eventually, I plan to obtain certifications for rehabilitation and other specialty services.

In addition to working at Inna Veterinary Acupuncture and Mobile Medical Services, I am also a dog swim coach. I find both jobs incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to meeting you and caring for your precious pets!

Meet Melissa

I have always been so passionate about caring for animals. I spend a lot of my time around cats and dogs because I love getting to understand them. I started out learning about pets’ behavior, personality, and how to train them. Currently, I am working toward earning my Bachelor’s in Animal Science and have been a cat and dog sitter for the past six years. One day, I plan to pursue a career as a veterinarian.

In my free time, I hiking, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I am excited to be a part of this team and look forward to meeting you and your furry family members and giving them the loving care they deserve.

Meet Nathalie, Veterinary Assistant

I am currently a veterinary student at the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. Passionate about caring for animals from a very young age, I began my journey as a pre-vet biology student nestled in the redwoods of Northern California. After graduating with a Bachelors in Cell & Molecular Biology, I worked as a researcher for two years in one of the leading stem cell research labs at Stanford University before taking off to continue my veterinary journey in the UK. I am now interested in pursuing a career in small animal medicine specializing in surgery, and hopefully one day combining Eastern and Western medicine techniques like Dr. Inna. In my free time I enjoy playing music and choreographing contemporary dance. Thank you for trusting us with your furry companions and I look forward to helping care for your pet!
